Working in my studio

This is 1/3 of my studio, looking onto the main workstation and desk where i spent most of my time writing, composing and researching for my work. The equipment at the main desk changes from project to project. Right now im working alot with 5.1 surround sound so you can see some of the surround monitoring. All the instruments i use are on the other side of the room and dotted around the house.

I'm always fascinated by bookshelves - the books that people keep to hand give away a lot! Is your bookshelf covered in guides to difficult programs, or is it more inspirational?

Pete- thanks for the comment. Looks like you're just like me, when going into someone's home i always go for the bookshelf and music collection! I can figure alot about them just from whats in there! This is just one bookshelf in the room, i have 4 in total. I have a bit of everything, all software manuals (takes up one entire bookshelf!), tuition materials, biographies of many artists, musicians etc, other things of interest to me such as spirituality, philosophy, meditation, yoga, brain training, self help, motivation, technology, and all my music books, guitar books and books on indian classical music brought from India...and a whole lot more...I started updating my blog with new books i buy... ;)

I totally head straight for the bookshelf, and it sounds like I'd spend ages browsing your collection! I'm currently wintering down south (or, y'know, "saarf" as they say round here) with my parents and they have a huge book collection that I'm really enjoying. Particularly my Dad's sci-fi stuff!

I've got a blog post in draft about my current reading pile, which runs from hard SF to art criticism via comic books and programming manuals, but I feel like a bit of a show off putting my reading online. Although I do have an online list of books so I don't buy the same thing twice in the bookshop...

Cool! I had this app for the Mac a while ago that was like a virtual bookshelf, you could add all your books into it and send it to friends etc. I have so many books so i never ended up using it! Would of took too long to type all the titles in! Thanks for the interest. Cheers.
